“Fuck. I told you to be careful.” Kame cringes, peroxide burning the exposed flesh of his cheek. Jin draws back slightly. “You okay?” Kame gulps, letting his eyes flutter close. “Yeah. Just—make it quick, it’s beginning to sting.” “So what hit you?” Jin asks, dabbing the cotton ball against Kame’s wound, carefully this time. “Smith and Wesson Magnum revolver.” Kame sighs, “Dodged just in time.” Even without seeing it he knows Jin is smirking, because he could practically feel the other’s lips quirking in sass. “Obviously not fast enough.” Kame chuckles, “Shut up.” He feels a band aid being spread against his cut, and the next second Jin gives the same spot a small peck, as if magically kissing it better. “Please don’t scare me again.” Jin moves away to return the first aid kit back into the dresser.

Kame feels a shaky breath escape his lips, like something in him is about to give away. Against the darkness that drapes against his vision, he could still see the name of his next target in vivid detail. He feels an even greater ache crumple against his chest—maybe that bullet really did hit him after all.

Jin is closing the dresser shut when he feels his phone vibrate against his pocket. He reaches out for the device and swipes the message open. Suddenly, there’s nothing but despair clawing up his stomach, as if destroying him from the inside. He feels like dying.

Kame wheezes, bringing in air into his lungs as greatly as he could. It’s been a long time he’d actually put his judo skills to use; salary men don’t exactly lead the most exciting lives. He reaches out for the robber’s collar and drags him against the floor, dumping him against the wall. “You son of a—” The ski mask sort of slips from his fingers and the man catches it with one hand. “Not that I owe a stranger an explanation,” he mutters, spitting out blood, “But this—” he motions towards the settling chaos, “I have my reasons.” 「 11/100 赤亀 posts | To the Limit Spin Off」
